Roots Matter More Than Rules

Bible open to John 3:16 highlighted in red text, with handwritten sermon notes on paper beside it on wooden table

Faith was never meant to be about rules alone.

Rules without roots don’t last. They create pressure, not life. But when faith is rooted in truth, it grows strong and steady.

That’s why Scripture matters so much. The Bible isn’t just a book of ideas. It is God’s revelation of Himself. It tells us who God is, who we are, and what He has done to bring us home.

When the Word of God is central, the church stays grounded. We don’t drift with culture or chase every new idea. We stand on truth that has endured for generations.

This isn’t about fear or control. It’s about confidence. Confidence that God has spoken and that we can trust Him.
